Liturgy of a New Moon

Crossing the sky with the sun by day,
shadow side pointed Earthward,
honor to the nascent moon begins.
Lunar rituals commence.

Candles set to flame, shimmer in the wind.
Elemental water baptizes anew.
Shrouded in our oaken grove,
we bathe in the sacred presence.

Setting forth our requested intentions,
we prance in the nonexistent illumination
Sun and moon in celestial conjunction,
starting our cycle of life anew.
