POETRY

A Moving Vehicle May Spin Out Of Your Control At Any Time

before us, white lines
on a black road like
ribs lined up on asphalt

we stream in lit ribbons of speed
tying around us

in our eyes
light passing
light passing light

the heaven’s gates
of golden arches
stand in the distance
somewhere a wheel skidding
